he became head of the family at
Cefn Treflaeth
, and he was one of those prosecuted by the
Earl of Leicester
during the troubles relating to
Snowdon Forest
. There
is a copy of the beginning of
Siôn ap Howel
's
Welsh
translation of
Rhetorica ad Herennium
in
Llanfair and Brynodol MS. 2
at the
National Library of Wales
. He d. in
1626/7
and was buried in the choir of
Llanystumdwy church
.
