. After pursuing the theology course at
Bala
he was ordained in
1904
, and was inducted
minister
of the
Bontnewydd
and
Pen-y-graig
churches in
Arfon
, where he remained for nearly 30 years. He was
secretary of the board of governors
of the
Bontnewydd Home for orphans
from
1904 to 1945
and was a
governor
until his death on
5 Apr. 1950
.
His publications include
David Livingstone
(
1912
),
David Williams, y Piwritan
(
1928
), and
Cartre'r Plant
(
1951
). He
won a National
Eisteddfod
prize for translations of legal terms into Welsh
, and was for many years
editor
of the
Year-book
and
Diary
of his denomination.
