THOMAS , NATHANIEL (b. 1730 ), editor ;

son of John Thomas of Glamorgan . He matriculated from Jesus College , Oxford , 11 April 1747 , at the age of 16, under the name Nathan Thomas . Foster ( Alumni Oxon. ) does not say whether he graduated, but Welsh biographers give him the degree of B.A. He became the editor and proprietor of the St. James's Chronicle , London . He also edited an abridgement of Ainsworth 's Latin dictionary in 1758 , and corrected another edition of the same work in 1761 . In 1768 he published an edition of Eutropius with translation and notes.
