According to some of the manuscripts which contain his work, he was heir to the Caerddinen and Llwyn Ynn estates in Denbighshire. A large number of his poems remain, including cywyddau to Roland Jones of Llanferais, Siôn Wyn Lewys, Siôn Hope, William Wynn of Nercwys, Peter Wynn of Manechdid, a satirical poem to a tavern-keeper of Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd. A number of free-metre poems by him also remain, including a satire addressed to Siôn Grythor and a number of carols. He is reputed to have been buried in Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd churchyard in 1640.
