who may have been a native of South Wales. No proof is available for connecting him, as Iolo Morganwg did, with Meisgyn (Miskin) in Glamorgan. Examples of his work exist in MSS., including a love poem, an awdl in praise of Ewyas, an elegy to Sir Charles Herbert, another to reconcile William Herbert of Colebrook with William Siôn ap Rhoser of Wern-ddu, and poems in praise of William Evans, chancellor and treasurer of Llandaff. Dafydd Benwyn, in his elegy to the poet, refers to the poems he composed to the chancellor.
