Born at Fron-goch in the parish of Llanfor, Meironnydd. He joined the Society of Friends, emigrated to Gwynedd, Pennsylvania, in 1698, and was accepted into the ministry of the Friends. He died in 1745, aged 81. Cadwaladr Evans was great-great-grandfather of Abraham Lincoln.
