and was buried in the
Cardiff
cemetery. He was a prominent figure in denominational movements and in the public life of
South Wales
. He published a booklet,
Y Doniau Gwyrthiol

, to counteract the influence of the
Mormons
in
Wales
. He was associated with the
Gwron
and the
Gwladgarwr
, and was
editor
of
Y Beirniad
; he was also actively concerned in establishing
Yr Adolygydd
,
1850
. He was a keen supporter of the
Liberation Society
and of the movements for establishing English churches in
South Wales
and for setting up a memorial college at
Brecon
.
